Has it really been 4 months since I made a blog post! HOLY COW!
Y'all have been keeping me so busy with baking dog treats. First, let me say how incredibly thankful I am for the support of our business. It has been four years and I can finally do this as my full-time job!!! These past few months have been spent developing new products, growing our customer base in Virginia, and getting more retailers to carry our product.
The Barkery project is underway and should be finished in September. Our last post indicated that we were going to fix up the cinderblock shed on our property to manufacture our natural dog treats. After a new roof, some foundation repair, garage door, and some paint we are almost ready to move in. Waiting on the oven to be installed is so difficult (patience is not one of my virtues).
So...it appears that I owe my followers a kick-tail recipe! Hoping it was worth the wait. Now you can bake your dog a healthy birthday cake or pupcakes for any occasion. Using a blender makes it super easy to whip up. ENJOY!

1/2 cup Canned Sweet Potato or Pumpkin (not the pie mix with extra spices, etc).

1 Tbs Coconut Oil
3/4 cup oat flour
Frosting: instant mashed potatoes or cream cheese
Sprinkles: frozen mixed veggies, bacon, or dried unsweetened cranberries

1. Whip the eggs using a blender on high speed (with the lid on) for 1 minute.
2. Add sweet potato. applesauce, honey, coconut oil to the blender and mix until combined
3. Add the oat flour and mix for 1 minute on lowest speed.
4. Pour batter into lined cupcake pan. Fill 3/4 of each cavity as these cakes do not rise very much. Can use any small cake mold (baking times will vary).
5. Bake at 350 degrees for 20-30 minutes. Cake is done when an inserted toothpick comes out clean.
Note: These are dense cake as there is no baking powder or baking soda. This batter will be thicker than a human cake!

*8x8 cake pan = 30 to 45 minute bake time
*3" round cake pan= 20 to 30 minute bake time
6. Frost top of cake with instant mashed potatoes or cream cheese.
