Pupcakes - Easy Blender Recipe
Ingredients:
2 Eggs
1/2 cup Canned Sweet Potato or Pumpkin (not the pie mix with extra spices, etc).
1/2 cup Unsweetened Applesauce
1 Tbs Honey
1 Tbs Coconut Oil
3/4 cup oat flour
Frosting: instant mashed potatoes or cream cheese
Sprinkles: frozen mixed veggies, bacon, or dried unsweetened cranberries
Instructions:
*Preheat oven to 350 degrees F
1. Whip the eggs using a blender on high speed (with the lid on) for 1 minute.
2. Add sweet potato. applesauce, honey, coconut oil to the blender and mix until combined
3. Add the oat flour and mix for 1 minute on lowest speed.
4. Pour batter into lined cupcake pan. Fill 3/4 of each cavity as these cakes do not rise very much. Can use any small cake mold (baking times will vary).
5. Bake at 350 degrees for 20-30 minutes. Cake is done when an inserted toothpick comes out clean.
Note: These are dense cake as there is no baking powder or baking soda. This batter will be thicker than a human cake!
*Mini-cupcake pan = 15 minute bake time
*8x8 cake pan = 30 to 45 minute bake time
*3" round cake pan= 20 to 30 minute bake time
6. Frost top of cake with instant mashed potatoes or cream cheese.
7. Sprinkle with frozen mixed veggies, dried unsweetened cranberries, or chunks of bacon.
Peanut Butter Pumpkin Soft Treats
Perfect treats for fall when canned pumpkin is easy to find. This recipe is sure to be a pack pleaser!
Ingredients:
1/2 cup canned pumpkin
1/4 cup peanut butter (make sure there is no sugar or xylitol!)
1/4 tsp cinnamon
1 cup flour (oat or whole wheat)
Directions:
1. Mix pumpkin, peanut butter, and cinnamon
2. Add in the flour and mix until combined.
3. Pinch pieces of dough and roll to make a ball. Squish the ball in between palms to flatten. Place on cookie sheet. Optional: make paw print design on the tops of cookies using the eraser end of a pencil
4. Bake treats for 8-10 minutes in 350 degree oven.
5. Store in the fridge up to 4 days!
2 Ingredient Pill Dough
Easy to make dough to make giving medication to your dog a pleasant experience! No dairy, soy, corn, wheat, or sweetners.
Ingredients: Oats, Coconut Oil
1 package=14 to 20 servings
Instructions: Keep in refrigerator. Microwave for 10-15 second intervals until moldable. Pinch desired amount around pill. Give like a treat!
Shelf Life: 10 days in fridge, 3-5 days at room temperature.
