Hello from the barkery! I'm Jessica and my beloved canine, Tank, inspired me to start a natural dog treat company. Tank is a Bassador (half basset hound and half labrador retreiver) and when he was a puppy his legs were the cutest little stumps. They reminded my husband of tater tots, so we started using 'Tot' as an endearing nickname. When I knew that sweet potato was going to be one of the main ingredients of our treats, it seemed fitting to use this fun play on words. Seriously....who doesn't like tater tots!? So Tanker Tots was born in July 2011 with a recipe developed specifically for my sensitive stomach dog.

ABOUT TANK:

Tank is an adorable and quirky dog that we adopted in Fall 2009 while living in Jackson, WY.  His litter of puppies was rescued by a loving family with 2 golden retreivers and they found homes for all nine little bassadors! Tank has always loved to eat, sleep, and play. Usually in that exact repetitive order.  He is truly part of our family and his sensitive stomach issues inspired us to create these dog treat recipes!

ABOUT TILLY:

Tilly (short for Matilda) is an energetic and sweet bassador that we adopted in July 2015 from a high-kill shelter in Monroe, Louisiana. Unfortunately, she spent much of her first 6months in a shelter....waiting to hit the doggie lottery. She is now Tank's understudy in the quality department here at the barkery!  We decided to name her Matilda as it was the name of a "diminuitive" tank in the British Infantry during WWII. Let's just say that the name fits her personality!
